2023 Redlands Aerobatic Cup

The Redlands Aerobatic Cup will be Five Category contest with a Four Minute Free category if we have Unlimited pilots wanting to fly it. The judging line is located on the airport itself with the box just north of the runway. REI has self-serve fuel, plenty of tie-downs, and a spacious, air conditioned lobby that is a welcome relief from the late summer heat. We are looking into hangar space this year, but won’t know until closer to the date.

Redlands Municipal Airport is tucked up against the mountains, providing usually calm winds for a 4500′ x 75′ runway, with . The airport management have experience with aerobatic events as the site of the Hangar 24 Airfest for several years and a long-standing aerobatic practice area to the northeast.

And pilots, please register in advance via this site. Your paperwork will be waiting for your signature at registration – easy peasy. We do not use the IAC registration system.

Contest Box Airspace

The Redlands contest box is temporary and only active for the three days of the contest. The REI traffic pattern switches sides of the airport to allow the box to be place adjacent to the runway north of the field. Please read and confirm published NOTAMs so to avoid conflict with aerobatic flight.
